Never a Dull Moment

There is never a dull moment around our house and quiet moments are rare unless, of course, it's the middle of the night. Our schedules keep us busy and with five of us, some days I just want to yell, "Stop and let me off"! I treasure the moments that we are together as a family with no place to go and where we can just be together. With our oldest leaving home in two short years, it makes me ask where did the time go?

Time flies and the children are growing up so fast. It seems like only yesterday they were babies. I treasure every moment with them. Unlike a lot of parents who can't wait to send their kids off to school to have time to themselves, I miss my girls and can't wait for them to come home. I love being a mom--their mom. I thank God every day for the privilege and awesome responsibility of being a parent. To teach them to love Him and obey Him is the most important part of being a parent. I pray that we not only teach them to love Him but that they will see our example of us loving Him, too. We will be held accountable for all of our decisions one day.

So, this leads me to the name of our blog. Our "Lifesong". "Lifesong" is one of our favorite songs by Casting Crowns. We want our Lifesong to sing to Him every day. Our family lifesong is to follow and obey Him in all that we do; that our lifesong will sing to Him.
